Creativity
Dramawerkz offers an artistic outlet for young people to create, share and perform their stories. It’s a place where its safe (and celebrated!) to be yourself.
Students are trained to ground playful creativity and practical skills in theoretical understanding. We offer group and private lessons, as well as preparatory lessons for Drama and Speech exams with Trinity College, London. Our teachers are trained performers, educators and designers at some of Australia’s eminent performing arts universities.
Skill
Dramawerkz provides frequent opportunities for public performance, as well as participation in festivals and community events. This is alongside our yearly drama camps, after school drop-in sessions, and other events that help our young people to build strong friendships and thrive within their communities.
Experience
Dramawerkz’s program model utilises peer mentorship, role modelling and community values to raise thriving young adults who contribute to their local communities. With staff concurrently trained in mental health and child/adolescent development, our team also runs several initiatives to promote peer connection, creative self expression and build confidence in our young people.
