Congratulations to Dramawerkz team member Christopher Rothwell for being cast in Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria’s upcoming production of ‘The Yeomen and the Guard’. We can’t wait to book tickets and see you on the stage!
What an incredible weekend! Thanks so much to Stratford Shakespeare on the River Festival for hosting us as we premiered our new show (and we LOVED watching Julius Caesar in the evening!!) and thanks also to Stratford on the River Tourist Park for being the wonderful place we could rest our weary heads each night!
We are so proud to share that Dramawerkz Youth Theatre student Scarlett Davidson has been recognised as her school’s Dux of VCE Drama! On Sunday December 13, Dramawerkz students got to gather for the first time since March and view their film, ‘Lyre Bird’ on the big screen at Sun Theatre! We are so proud of our students for everything they’ve done to make the best of 2020 – what a beautiful end to a long year.
This semester, students at Dramawerkz have focused their creative energy on the creation of a ‘Lyre Bird’ film – making the best of the strange strange circumstances this year has brought upon us. Join us in a celebration of the hard work and determination students have shown throughout 2020… and watch a good film whileContinue reading “Join us for a ‘Lyre Bird’ Community Screening, this Friday at 7:30!”
I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has not gone as anyone had planned. In February, Dramawerkz students were busy creating and rehearsing ‘Lyre Bird’: a brand new show that was to premiere at Stratford Shakespeare on the River festival in April. Then… well… I think we all remember April. Nevertheless, we’ve continued ourContinue reading “‘Lyre Bird’”
