Join us for a ‘Lyre Bird’ Community Screening, this Friday at 7:30!

This semester, students at Dramawerkz have focused their creative energy on the creation of a ‘Lyre Bird’ film – making the best of the strange strange circumstances this year has brought upon us. Join us in a celebration of the hard work and determination students have shown throughout 2020… and watch a good film while you’re at it!

Along with your ticket, you’ll receive an email with information about viewing this production online. We’ll meet in a Zoom call, where everyone will be sent a secret link to the viewing platform and then we’ll meet back at the end of the film to applaud the students together!

Synopsis:
Shortly after the death of William Shakespeare, someone discovers a box full of letters marked by familiar names. Each letter contains a plea from a young person with a full heart, asking for their story to be immortalised by the greatest poet of all time. In this tale performed by Dramawerkz Youth Theatre, famous characters and famous tales align to tell stories about loves they believe to be more important than air. These are the letters of lovers. Tonight, we shall share them with you.

Tickets are $5 per viewing screen and available by following this link:
